body & soul

The Body and Soul restaurant is open during term time on Wednesday and Thursday from 11am until 2pm.

From 11am we serve tea, coffee and homemade cakes.

From 12 o'clock we serve home-cooked meals and snacks.

As our staff are all voluntary we are able to offer meals and refreshments at very modest prices. Any profits are donated to Tearfund, a Christian organisation working with the under-privilidged throughout the world.

Please drop in for a meal, or refreshment and enjoy a friendly chat with one of our team of volunteers. This is an opportunity for you to enquire about the work of the church and also about the Christian faith in pleasant surroundings.

Each week we try to produce something different.
Come and try our crunchy chicken bake, our mediterannean vegetable slice, our leek flan or our shepherds' pie. Maybe you'd prefer a light salad or a baked potato.
Follow this with a traditional pudding like crumble top or Eve's pudding or the 'naughty but nice' saucy chocolate sponge. Our lemon meringue is quite a favourite too.

Once you have tried our food, we are sure that you will come again.

Alternatively, if you would like to volunteer to help with cooking, preparing or serving meals, you will find us a great team to work with.

For further information, please contact Sue Glynn through the church office.
